Punters get a bad rap. They’re all lanky. The majority of the punter’s strength is in his kicking leg. And when they’re on a field with very strong football players, sometimes they get obliterated. (We’re looking at you, Antonio Brown Karate Kick recipient Spencer Lanning.)
Army punter drops Stanford defender, gets revenge for all other punters ever
Punters are tired of getting messed with.
But Alex Tardieu is not your average punter. He’s Army’s punter, and he is as strong as you’d expect a cadet at the United States Military Academy to be. And if you come at him with weakness, he will obliterate you:
Talk about tough. Stanford defender ran into the Army punter. Army punter just flicks him aside. pic.twitter.com/mrXex4hw9f
— Pacific Takes (@PacificTakes) September 13, 2014 In the still, it legitimately looks like Tardieu has delivered a knockout right cross to Kodi Whitfield, a 6'2, 204-pound safety for the Cardinals. The GIF reveals it wasn't quite as violent, but the punter really does flick aside the off-balance safety like it was nothing:
We embrace vicious punters whenever and wherever we find them. Right now the club is Tardieu and Pat McAfee.
