Bill Belichick smirks, laughs, when asked about Tom Brady QB controversy

Tom Brady isn’t playing well at all, but Bill Belichick will still chortle if you ask him about benching Tom Brady for Jimmy Garoppalo.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady didn’t have a great night Monday night -- 14-for-23, 159 yards, a TD and two picks. His backup, Jimmy Garoppalo, did great! 6-for-7, 70 yards, and a TD! Could we be seeing a changing of the guard in New England? Let’s ask Bill Belichick:

Friendly as ever, Bill. He didn’t say any words, but that answer is a resounding “no.”

Brady is having a rough year -- typically one of the league’s best passers, year-in, year-out, he entered Monday night 23rd in QB rating, between Drew Stanton and Blake Bortles, and his two-pick night won’t exactly help there.
