Steelers Depot found a sad note in the obituary of Eleanor Gallagher, 81, of Nanticoke, Pennsylvania:
Family blames death on Steelers’ season, Dick LeBeau’s departure
The Steelers’ longtime defensive coordinator left the team after their playoff loss, and that was the final straw poor Eleanor.

Eleanor was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and the family firmly believes that the recent separation of Dick LeBeau and the Steelers’ poor performance this season might have inadvertently contributed to her demise.
LeBeau left the Steelers after 11 years, and the family “firmly believes” that was enough for poor Eleanor to leave this mortal coil.
Previously, we had the Browns fan who asked for the team to send pallbearers so they could let him down one last time, the Alabama fan excited about meeting Bear Bryant, and the Georgia Tech fan calling for Paul Johnson’s firing, but we believe this is the first death caused by a defensive coordinator.
