Flavor Flav is at Penn State-Purdue, continuing tradition of confusing basketball attendance

We have solved the mystery of Flavor Flav appearing at a Penn State-Purdue game.

Flavor Flav is at the Penn State vs. Purdue game:

ESPN showed him for much of the exciting end to regulation:

(They misidentified him as “FlavA Flav, though.) At first we were perplexed by Flav’s attendance. He doesn’t have a show in State College tonight -- Public Enemy’s next show is in Atlantic City tomorrow, and that’s a hike from mid-Pennsylvania. Earlier this year we spotted Flav at a Summer League game in Vegas. Does Flavor Flav just travel the nation looking for mediocre hoops games to attend?

But then Flav took to Twitter to explain that his cousin plays for the Nittany Lions:

Which explains the “Code 33” shirt and Flav’s being at a random game between two teams destined for the lower half of the Big Ten standings. Glad we could solve this mystery for you.
