Oh boy. #Canes not happy #FSU kicker Aguayo was on their side of the field warming up. They let him know it. pic.twitter.com/UngYp6gEW5
— Will Manso (@WillManso) October 10, 2015 Miami-FSU had a PREGAME KICKER DISPUTE, so of course it’s still a rivalry
You definitely know two teams have a rivalry when their kickers get into altercations BEFORE the game.
There’s no love lost between the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida State Seminoles, so much so that the field is not big enough for two kickers to practice on.
FSU kicker Roberto Aguayo was just minding his own business when a Hurricanes player asked him to go back on the Seminoles side.
It looks like Aguayo offered his hand as a peace offering—maybe almost mockingly—which resulted in a few ‘Canes players stepping up to him. After some light shoving, FSU staff guided the kicker back to their side.
