The COLOR RUSH jerseys probably seemed like a good idea to the NFL because, well, because it gave them more stuff they could sell.
People with red/green colorblindness are justifiably upset about unwatchable Bills-Jets game
Here’s what they didn’t consider when pitting the Bills against the Jets in all red and all green though.
@StephStradley I’m red/green colorblind and having a hard time watching. 1/8 guys is colorblind. What is NFL doing to its target audience?
— raduray (@raduray) November 13, 2015 @NFL I'm red-green colorblind, which is making this stupid #ColorRush game more difficult to watch than a regular Bills-Jets game #TNF
— A R Holmes (@ARHolmesBTP) November 13, 2015 Hey @nyjets & @buffalobills, you have any idea what % of your audience is red/green colorblind? Please look it up & think next time. #stupid
— Aaron Bertrand (@AaronBertrand) November 13, 2015 If you are colorblind like me this @NFL game is going to be hard to follow. @buffalobills vs @nyjets
— Lawrence Tynes (@lt4kicks) November 13, 2015 YO @NFL for those of us who are red/green #colorblind, the @nyjets and @buffalobills uniforms tonight look identical. #comeon
— Eamon Flood (@EamonFlood) November 13, 2015 Hey @NFL, this game is near impossible to watch for people who are red/green color blind. #ColorRush
— Paul Chapman (@chapper28655) November 13, 2015 For the 8% of American men like me that are Red-Green colorblind, this #JetsVsBills game is a nightmare to watch. No idea what's going on.
— Michael Sterchak (@MichaelSterchak) November 13, 2015 The #NFL did me dirty. I'm color blind and can't see red / green. Everyone looks like they're on the same team smh. #JetsVsBills
— JBP (@JBP2586) November 13, 2015 Color blindness affects roughly 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women in the world, so this is kind of a major mistake on the part of the NFL.
With red/green color blindness being the most common type, and with there being no white on the jerseys at all, it would be almost impossible for the NFL to design two uniforms that would cause as much of an issue as these two do.
