The Sacramento Kings hired Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman as an assistant coach. And while she’s helping out the rebuilding roster, she is also rebuilding the Sacramento community.
On Thursday, Lieberman took part in the grand unveiling of a new multipurpose play space in the neighboring Del Paso Heights area, complete with its own basketball court. She did the ribbon cutting, but more importantly she delivered the exclamation point to an already celebratory crowd by hitting a backward one-handed halfcourt shot!
As if that shot wasn’t already difficult to make, Lieberman had her jacket zipped up. It doesn’t matter though—it was still the most perfect all-net shot. We would tell Lieberman that she still has it but, quite frankly, it looks like she never lost it.
