A high school basketball game in Chandler, Ariz., was suspended on Tuesday night after a player destroyed the backboard with the biggest dunk we’ve seen in a while. N’Keal Harry is a 5-star wide receiver recruit who has committed to play football at Arizona State, but after this clip we hope he’ll be a two-sport star.
— Chandler Basketball (@CHSWolvesHoops) December 16, 2015 It’s impossible to watch this and not smile. Backboard-breaking dunks are always fantastic, but this is a throwback to the best ones of the ‘80s -- before things became too safe and sanitized.
We will tweet out the information we receive about the finish of tonight's suspended game when the info is made available to us.
— Chandler Basketball (@CHSWolvesHoops) December 16, 2015 There was just 1:17 left in the game with Chandler leading 62-47. This means the backboard-shattering play was like breaking the rim in the fourth quarter of NBA Jam -- and it punctuated an almost-assured victory.
