Okay look, we know that the Falcons were trying to get off the field for fear of a 12 men on the field penalty -- but this is still pretty funny. Normally a bad sub results in one or two extra guys being stuck out there ... but FOUR?! That’s impressive.
Naturally Cam Newton took advantage of the confusion and ran for a first down without much hassle.
Let’s not pretend this has been easy -- not by a long shot. The Falcons are playing infinitely better football than they did when they last met and are attacking Carolina on offense with a series of short passes to Julio Jones which is really opening things up. Pair that with a pass rush that is routinely getting to Newton and this is shaping up to be one heck of a game.
