The Bears just needed Robbie Gould to knock in an easy 36-yard field goal from straight away to beat the 49ers. He did this instead:

Gould has had a great career for the Bears and has made 89 percent of his attempts in his career. He missed two Sunday, though, including another one from 40 yards out. So now, instead of winning, 23-20, the Bears are heading to overtime against the 49ers. Let’s see what the fans think:

Chicago went onto lose in overtime due to the heroics of Blaine Gabbert -- really, that’s a real sentence -- so Gould’s atypical failure cost the Bears dearly.
