Ethan Couch had one wish when he woke up from brain surgery: “I want to go to the Masters.” Now that dream has been realized with the help of Kevin Streelman.
Kevin Streelman asked a 13-year-old with an inoperable tumor to caddie Masters Par-3 Contest

Streelman contacted the Make-A-Wish foundation to find out if any children wanted to attend the Masters. When he heard about Ethan, he picked him to caddie for him at the Par-3 Contest on Wednesday. Speaking to ESPN, the golfer’s motivation to make dream come true stemmed from the struggles of his daughter Sophia, whose birth had complications.
“That changed a lot of the ways I see children,” he says. “I have an entirely new appreciation for what parents with children having tough times are going through.”
Ethan has tectal glioma. A condition where a brain tumor blocks the body’s ability to circulate spinal fluid, causing a host of issues. The tumor is inoperable, but benign -- meaning he’ll need to be monitored for the rest of his life.
On Wednesday he was just worried about grabbing the right club. And he helped Streelman win the Par-3 Contest.
