Rangers turn 5-on-3 power play into Lightning goal, somehow

Tip for opponents: don’t ever let Tyler Johnson have the puck.

Tyler Johnson is leading the universe in postseason goals right now. So of COURSE he wasn't worried when the Rangers were on a 5-on-3 power play in the first period of Game 2 on Monday night. He scored a shorthanded goal on this incredible breakaway:

It wasn’t technically 5-on-3 when he scored the goal, as the first of Tampa Bay’s penalties was expiring just as he took the shot, but for all intents and purposes, yes, this was a 5-on-3 shorthanded goal. The play went to review due to the net coming dislodged, but as you can see here, it was definitely good:

The Rangers tied it up 1-1 later in the first period, but that still has to sting.
