Randy Moss hasn’t forgotten the state of Minnesota, or the people he met while he was there. One girl in particular seems to have had quite the impact on Moss. The former Vikings star reportedly attended the high school graduation of Kassi Spier Friday, a girl he met in 1998 while she was battling Leukemia and Moss was a rookie with the Vikings.
Randy Moss kept his promise to a Leukemia survivor and attended her graduation

An Associated Press story in 2003 mentioned that Spier befriended Moss during his rookie season of 1998, when Moss took the NFL by storm with 1,313 receiving yards and 17 touchdown catches.
The story describes how Spier in 2003 followed Moss to lunch nearly every day during the team’s training camp that summer in Mankato, with “her tiny hand tucked inside his.”
In a story describing the first time the two met, Spier was quoted as saying, “He cried because he didn’t want to leave.”
Not only was Moss able to attend Kassi’s graduation, he got to hand her the diploma she had fought through so much to earn.
