66 surfers ride a single board to set new Guinness World Record

A group of surfers in Huntington Beach, Calif., set a new Guinness World Record over the weekend by riding a giant surfboard for more than 12 seconds. It took a total of 66 surfers to hop on, and now they’ve cemented their place in the record books.

The board was 42 feet long and 11 feet wide, helping the group to break the previous record of 47 surfers held by a group in Australia. The nearby beach and pier were covered in cheering spectators, making the moment more special.

GoPro footage from the board looks very cool too.
