Remember those DirecTV commercials with Rob Lowe and a much lesser version of Rob Lowe? Well they are back. Except instead of Rob Lowe there is Eli Manning and instead of a lesser version of Rob Lowe there is Eli Manning telling dad jokes.

Would it surprise anyone if he wrote those himself?
Manning seems like he would really enjoy a good dad joke, so this is a perfect role for him. I like to think he cracked up laughing when he read the script. Would it really surprise anyone if Manning overheard someone say “HD” in the Giants locker room next year and chimed in with “HD, more like huge disappointment!” before laughing back to his locker.
This is much better than last year when Eli and Peyton Manning rapped for a DirecTV commercial.
