USA Basketball moved the stanchions WAY back after Paul George’s injury

Better safe than sorry.

USA Basketball took the “better safe than sorry” approach with its basket stanchions this year. After Paul George’s gruesome injury, and much dispute about the location of the goal, USA basketball moved the stanchions back 2.5 feet further than last year’s game.
