Kids at the Little League World Series remind us what true sportsmanship is

Let kids be kids.

Chinese Taipei shut out Uganda 5-0 in Monday’s Little League World Series elimination game in the classiest way possible. Despite all the talk about LLWS kids being too cocky nowadays with their wild bat flips, these kids proved that sportsmanship is still alive and well.

Great sportsmanship shown today during Chinese Taipei and Uganda

A Chinese player accidentally hit a batter with a pitch. After the batter reached first, him and the pitcher tipped their caps in a gesture of mutual respect.

Next, that same batter attempted a slide into second, knocking the baseman off his feet. The batter quickly apologized by helping him up and giving him a hug.

At the end, the two teams went one step further than the classic postgame handshakes, as they exchanged smiles and hugs. And the two teams took an adorable photo together — some of them swapped hats like old pals!

Kids are the best.
