Russell Wilson claims he healed a concussion with the miracle water he invests in

And other highlights from his Rolling Stone profile.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

This week, Rolling Stone profiled Russell Wilson, and it is fascinating, weird and possibly implies that the Patriots winning the Super Bowl was all because of a higher power.

Here are some highlights:

1. After Clay Matthews gave Wilson a hit that concussed him earlier this year, he apparently healed himself with miracle water, which he wants to sell on Amazon:

Another venture is slightly less altruistic. Wilson is an investor in Reliant Recovery Water, a $3-per-bottle concoction with nanobubbles and electrolytes that purportedly helps people recover quickly from workouts and, according to Wilson, injury. He mentions a teammate whose knee healed miraculously, and then he shares his own testimonial.

“I banged my head during the Packers game in the playoffs, and the next day I was fine,” says Wilson. “It was the water.”

Wilson later tweeted about the water, along with a halo emoji:

2. The interception he had at Super Bowl 49 was “all part of God’s plan”:

First, he mentioned that his Super Bowl interception was all part of God’s plan: “The play happens, I take three steps, and God says to me, ‘I’m using you.’ My sixth step, God says to me, ‘I want to see how you respond, but more importantly I want [the world] to see how you respond.’ ”

3. Wilson avoids doing commercials for products that promote unhealthy eating:

Wilson is doing national commercials -- he has turned down soda and fast-food ads because of their health issues -- but Lynch is best known for local plumbing ads, such as a classic “Stop freakin’, call Beacon” spot.

4. He has the confidence that could convince a person that “the sky is green”:

“I’ve never seen anyone able to adapt to different situations and groups so quickly,” says Mark Rodgers, his agent, who is guiding Wilson through a difficult contract renegotiation with the Seattle Seahawks. “He’s like a great politician.

“You could tell him the sky is blue and he would be like, ‘No, man, the sky is green,’ ” says his older brother, Harry. (There’s also a younger sister, Anna.) “He’s probably the most confident person I’ve ever known -- and a tough guy to figure out.”

You should definitely read the rest of Wilson’s profile over at Rolling Stone, which includes a moment where Carmelo Anthony says his failed attempt at making a world record at the Kids’ Choice Awards was rigged.
