After a close 100m final on Sunday that saw Gatlin stumble 20 meters from the finish line and cede the victory to Bolt by 0.01 seconds, many expected a close 200m contest. Instead, Bolt won handily, running 19.55 seconds to Gatlin’s 19.74 and taking his ninth straight victory in Olympic and World Championship 100m and 200m finals.
