Usually though, you don’t have to worry about your own lineman blocking the kick. That wasn’t the case in a game between Canton McKinley and Archbishop Hoban on Thursday.
Not only did the punt nail a teammate at the line of scrimmage and knock him over, but the ball bounced perfectly up into the air and to a player on the opposing team who quickly ran it back for a touchdown.
WELP.
If only it counted as an assist.
