Chase Daniel was just trying to throw a basic, meaningless Week 4 of the preseason pass. It the grand scheme of the NFL, it didn't matter at all. That didn't stop him from getting absolutely crushed for no good reason.
Chase Daniel had his pass swatted in his face, then he got obliterated for no reason
It appears Rams defensive end Eugene Sims thought Daniel caught the ball after it was swatted. Or maybe he just wanted to light up a quarterback because he could. Either way, Daniel got his pass rejected back in his face, then he got blown up for the exclamation point on a very bad play.
