Streaking squirrel rushes court at US Open, much to everyone’s delight
As we head into the second week of the US Open in New York, it was only fitting that a rodent made a cameo.
During a doubles match between the pairings of Jelena Jankovic-Aleksandra Krunic and Casey Dellacqua-Yaroslava Shvedova on Sunday, a brave squirrel ran across the court with a vengeance. Just look at him go! He is certainly running with purpose.
Still, the little creature managed to interrupt play briefly before disappearing off under the stands to continue on with this journey we call life.
