MLB pitcher bombs first career home run, reacts like Carlton Fisk in the World Series

Rockies pitcher Kyle Kendrick launched the first home run of his MLB career on Monday, a no-doubter against the Padres. In the grand scheme of things, that home run didn’t mean a whole lot. It was simply just a solo home run in a September game between two teams out of the playoff race. Kendrick did not care about all of the reasons this wasn’t important and instead celebrated in style.

Because it is baseball, that celebration probably violates some unwritten rule. Even if it does, it was completely worth it. Kendrick entered the game with 431 plate appearances and zero home runs. At 31 years old, there is a decent chance he will never hit another MLB home run. If you launch a bomb that far and it’s your first and possibly only MLB dinger, you deserve the right to go full Carlton Fisk on the celebration.
