Deontay Wilder retains WBC title with devastating knockout

It doesn’t take a genius to know that boxing is a violent sport and people will get knocked unconscious in the ring. Even taking this into account, we witnessed an absolutely brutal K.O. on Saturday night by Deontay Wilder.

The WBC Heavyweight Champion was not fighting his best against Artur Szpilka, but one punch when it counted was all that mattered. Szpilka was unconscious for seven minutes following the fight and had to be taken to an area hospital. Thankfully all indications are that he is OK.
