Cam Newton balled up a ‘12th man’ flag and threw it away like it was trash

SB Nation 2016 NFL Playoff Guide

Cam Newton went to the locker room following the Panthers 31-24 win over the Seahawks, but he wasn’t there for long. He emerged for his victory lap when fans handed him a Seattle “12th man” flag. This isn’t the first time the Panthers QB has taken exception to opposing fans bringing flags into “his house,” so naturally he balled it up and threw it away.

While everyone gets in a tizzy over it, please note that someone handed this to him. It’s a far cry from the brew-ha-ha when Newton tore down a Packers banner earlier this year. Also important to note: Newton took time before AND after the game to meet with Russell Wilson and congratulate him on a great season.
