Dog on pee break accidentally finishes 7th in half-marathon

Ludivine is a 2-year-old hound, and a very good dog. Sometimes Ludivine likes to wander from her home in Elkmont, Ala. -- which is how this good dog found itself in the middle of the Trackless Train Trek Half Marathon. This very good dog didn’t just run the race, she was there with her competitors lifting their spirit and keeping their pace.
April Hamlin, Luidivine’s owner, didn’t realize her pooch wanted to sports on Saturday morning.
“All I did was open the door, and she ran the race on her own accord, My first reaction was that I was embarrassed and worried that she had possibly gotten in the way of the other runners.”
Not only did this good dog run the race, but she occasionally left the track to sniff for things or run through streams. Which means that not only did Luidivine finish seventh by her own accord, but she totally could have been first if she kept her eye on the prize. This was highly out of character.
“She’s laid back and friendly, so I can’t believe she ran the whole half marathon because she’s actually really lazy,”
Lazy or not, Ludivine is a champion and good dog -- and she has the medal to prove it.
