— Miami Marlins (@Marlins) January 6, 2016 Marlins congratulate 5-game ‘Marlins Alum’ Mike Piazza on making the Hall of Fame

Once a Marlin, always a Marlin, right?
Despite the fact he suited up for the Marlins for only five games, the team honored Mike Piazza on the news that he is going to the Baseball Hall of Fame this year. And why wouldn’t they? He wound up with the Marlins in 1998 when the Dodgers traded him, only to end up a Met just a week later.
Yes, five games is a mere speck in the career of the legendary catcher, but he hit one of his eight triples in that short span.
The Oakland Athletics also got in on the festivities.

— Oakland Athletics (@Athletics) January 6, 2016 Ken Griffey Jr., who was a few votes away from being the Hall’s first unanimous vote, also received some congratulatory tweets from a team that fans don’t instantly associate the player with.
Congrats to former #WhiteSox outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. on his election into the @BaseballHall 2016 Class! pic.twitter.com/cmZiTFYfvO
— Chicago White Sox (@whitesox) January 6, 2016 No matter how unfamiliar these Hall of Famers look in these uniforms, everyone should celebrate! Congrats Griffey and Piazza. We’re sure Arizona Cardinals legend Emmitt Smith is proud of you as well.
