Washington Huskies basketball player dominates pop-a-shot with his 7’5 wingspan

The Huskies forward took advantage of his long arms to show off at Pac-12 media day.

Washington Huskies forward Malik Dime does not seem like the kind of opponent you would want in a pop-a-shot contest. The 6’9 forward has a 7’5 wingspan and used it to his advantage at Friday’s Pac-12 Media Day.

Dime averaged 6.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game with the Huskies last season, but he seems to be one of the conference’s best pop-a-shot players. It’s not 100 percent clear, however, whether pop-a-shot purists will like the fact that Dime is clearly leaning toward the basket and compounding his advantage with his extraordinarily long arms.

It would be interesting to see Dime face a worthwhile challenger, so perhaps it may be possible to set up a matchup between the Huskies forward and this Taiwanese pop-a-shot legend.

In the meantime, Huskies fans will have to settle for watching Dime play real basketball instead.
