Bill Murray must be a happy man this week. His Cubs are one win away from going to the World Series, and he had a meeting with White Sox fan President Obama on Friday. Given the fact that Murray’s attended Cubs home games during the postseason, he’ll likely fly back to Chicago for Game 6.

But since he was at the White House, Murray figured why not crash a press briefing and pretend to be the president? And why not answer questions about the Cubs?
Reporter: “Mr. President, do you think the Cubs will win?”
Fake President Murray: “I feel very confident that Clayton Kershaw is a great, great pitcher, but we got too many sticks.

“You also get a bit of autumn in Chicago. You don’t get that in Los Angeles. Trees just die in Los Angeles. In Illinois, they flourish.”
As for what Murray and Obama talked about, neither man revealed what they said, according to The Hill, but Murray’s Cubs jacket was a good conversation starter:
Obama, who is a White Sox fan, teased Murray for showing up to the White House sporting their crosstown rivals’ gear.
”He was wearing a Cubs jacket, which for a White Sox fan is a little troubling,” he joked.
