The Cavs’ championship rings have an eternal reminder the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a stone-cold detail in their NBA championship rings you probably haven’t seen. A perpetual reminder that the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals.

Richard Jefferson showed off his ring on his Snapchat account, and you can see a not-so-subtle jab. Look, you can take this as being just a celebration of Cleveland’s wins -- but you KNOW the Cavaliers front office knew what they were diving into. The Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead has been one of the top sports memes since summer, and if you’re putting it on the side of a ring, then you KNOW what people will think.

This was a solid play. Well done, Cavs.
