It’s been 20 years since Ginuwine released Ginuwine...The Bachelor, an album that’s important to this site, solely because of its second track, “Pony.” We would be remiss if we didn’t celebrate its anniversary*, seeing as how it’s brought us joy for a while now. We’ve used it so many times as the soundtrack to our favorite horse-related moments — there’s literally a section on our site dedicated to “Pony.”
Happy 20th birthday to Ginuwine’s ‘Pony,’ a classic sports anthem

There are many reasons why “Pony” is one of the greatest songs in existence, but the biggest reason is that it’s the best song for turning something innocent into something dirty. Here’s a playlist of Pony’d videos, if you have about a half-hour to waste.
We would not be who we are without “Pony.” Thank you, Ginuwine and Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley. You are our heroes. You are our ponies.
*Technically, “Pony” was released as a single on August 20, 1996, while the album it appeared on was released on October 8, 1996. Whatever. Take this post as a belated birthday celebration.
