A lot of college sports teams have dogs for nicknames. Many of those have a living dog as the mascot. Those are all very good dogs. Yale’s nickname is the Bulldogs and they have a new mascot named Handsome Dan XVIII.

We can confirm that Handsome Dan is indeed a very good dog. A great dog, even. He also has a very impressive resume. After being born on Sept. 23, 2016, Handsome Dan has already risen to mascot stardom in less than two months.
Dan will have to undergo some training first, to get acclimated to his new role. But, it won’t be long until he’s taking walks around campus and being a very good dog at sporting events.
What a great dog.
