52-year-old Mike Winchester was shot and killed outside Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City on Tuesday. An employee of Southwest Airlines, Winchester also played football for Oklahoma in the 1980’s. The suspect believed to have shot the man was found dead inside a truck close to the airport following the senseless act.
The Chiefs rallied around Winchester during an impossibly difficult week. GM John Dorsey joined the player and his gamily at the funeral in an incredible show of support. Travis Kelce was set handle long snapping duties if Winchester wasn't able to rejoin the team in time, but it looks like he'll be out there and ready to go.
