This custom-built drone can drag a snowboarder through a ski resort


As of right now, there’s no commercially available drone that can carry a human being. That’s not to say people aren’t trying to make that kind of drone, but it’ll be a while before we see more people using drones to fly. That is, unless you’re YouTuber Casey Neistat, who, over the course of a year (and with the help of Samsung), had his friends build a custom drone that was big and strong enough to carry him plus a snowboard.
The result of that idea is this rad montage of Neistat dashing through the snow of a Finnish town, while a glowing drone takes him away, uphill on a ski slope, and eventually off a mountain.
An ambitious video like this requires a lot of planning, which is thankfully documented in a behind-the-scenes video from Neistat’s friend Jesse Wellens:
