Warriors stepped in to make sure Draymond Green didn’t answer ‘3-1 lead’ question
Hmm ...

In case you haven’t heard: the Golden State Warriors are a very good basketball team. And now with the addition of Kevin Durant, the team is starting to look like the unstoppable super team that merits the villain moniker.
The team is bound to lose a game every now and then but the thought of a team with Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green losing back-to-back games is unheard of. Let’s check if this has happened in the 2016-17 season:
There are a few losses in the record but two losses in a row hasn’t happened yet this season. Still, that didn’t stop a reporter from asking reen about the last time the Warriors lost three. And since we can’t find two consecutive Ls this season, we have to go back to last season. Let’s start from the earliest point, the playoffs — ooooooh.
It’s no wonder that the Warriors PR person interrupted with “regular season.” But since they were kind enough to interject by pretending the NBA Finals don’t count, we have to check the regular season only.
So the answer is April 2015. That’s impressive, but it’s not as fun as answering another 3-1 lead question. You do have to commend the Warriors organization for trying to avoid the inevitable topic. That probably takes a lot of work.
(For what it’s worth, the Warriors also lost three games in a row in the playoffs last year against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Maybe that can be the new 3-1 lead.)
