The Cavaliers Rickrolled their fans during ‘80s night player introductions
Never gonna give YOU up, Cavs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers decided to do something fun at the beginning of the game on Friday instead of something as the game winded down, much like they did on Wednesday. The team had a bottle-flipping competition as the blowout game came to a close. Now they’re rolling — rickrolling.
Friday night was the Cavs’ Hardwood Classics Night where they donned the old orange unis from the 80s. And though player introductions seemed fairly normal at first, the image started to get distorted like when you were watching a really old VHS copy (remember those?) of The Lion King.
Then the best thing happened: every Cavaliers player appeared in retro gear and haircuts to match. Look, it’s LeBron and ... Rick James?
Birdman is out here looking like wrestling manager Captain Lou Albano. We need a remake of this video with Cyndi Lauper.
If you need me, I’ll be watching J.R. Smith put on the performance of a lifetime.
The more this team wins, the more they’re having fun with it. I hope they don’t lose again for a while, because we definitely need an encore — or a 90s rendition of these player intros.
