Michael Jordan gave the Warriors his blessing to break the ‘95-‘96 Bulls wins record

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The Warriors are attempting to pass the 72-10 mark set by the 1995-1996 Bulls and Michael Jordan, and you’ll never guess who told Klay Thompson to go out there and do it.

“He said, ‘Go ahead and break the record.’” - Klay Thompson on his conversation with Michael Jordan

Was Jordan trying to mess with his head? Yeah, probably.

Even though he’s an NBA champion and one of the best shooters in the league, Thompson still didn’t feel like he had made it until MJ acknowledged him. Now we’ll see if him and his teammates can follow through.
