Float Boy is basketball’s latest mystery
James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Nobody knows the genesis of Float Boy. It’s an Internet mystery like the Chupacabra or the lone Wu Tang album that criminal who looks like David Tennant in Jessica Jones bought. He appears to play for a high school, but in reality Float Boy is a construct, an ideal. He’s basically Batman if Batman’s power was to float in the air and do nothing.
Why is he floating? How is he floating? Was this a rebound or is No. 24 trying to block his own teammate? All of these are questions we need answers for. The truth is out there.
