A highway sign in North Carolina is making the rounds on Facebook as hundreds of excited Panthers fans hope its prediction on the Super Bowl score becomes reality. It just so happens that Denver, N.C. and Newton, N.C. are within an earshot of each other -- and on this sign the miles go the Panthers’ way.
This is an unusual, but hardly rare occurrence. There are several states that happen to have a “Denver” and “Newton” inside the same state, including Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. However, nowhere has the two places so close together. For now North Carolinians will just hope this sign is predictive.
