It's always a bumpy road for the Knicks. They fired their head coach, Derek Fisher, at the beginning of February and just this week Amar'e Stoudemire brought up old stories from the Carmelo Anthony and Jeremy Lin days, that weren't exactly flattering. On Tuesday night after a 104-85 home loss to the Blazers, a heckler caught Melo's attention and Melo responded. Doesn't sound like Melo is too happy about how things are going either

"He kept calling my name, calling my name, saying ‘You guys suck, you guys suck,'" Anthony told the media afterwards, via the New York Daily News. "At that point I was trying to gather myself and I turned around, all I did was point at Dolan and told him, ‘Look, the owner's right there. Ask for your money back.'
“He’s calling me and telling me he’s never coming to another game and we suck. Just don’t want to hear that. I pointed to the owner and told him you deal with that with him, maybe you can get your money back.”
Anthony finished the game with 23 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. It was a solid performance, but as has often been the case this season, not enough to carry the Knicks to victory. They've now lost eight of their last 10 games, and six of eight since Kurt Rambis replaced the fired Derek Fisher. New York currently trails the eighth place Pistons by eight games with 20 to go.
“It gets frustrating,” Anthony said to reporters Tuesday night. “The losing gets frustrating, disappointing. The way that we ended that game was disappointing. At that point I think my head was in the towel. I was just trying to breathe, just try to relax, kind of gather myself a little bit at that point.”
If the Eastern Conference’s current standings hold this will be the third straight year the Knicks missed the playoffs. Anthony, now 31, has still only advanced out of the first round just twice in his career and just once since joining the Knicks in 2011.
Anthony issued an apology for the incident Wednesday afternoon.

Anthony signed a five-year, $124 million extension with the Knicks in July, but was linked to some trade rumors prior to the deadline. He later denied them being true and told Sirius XM "I'm not going anywhere." Anthony's new contract has a no-trade clause, meaning he can veto any deal sending him out of New York.
