High school basketball player forces OT with 80-foot heave at the buzzer

It seems that there are as many full-court shots in high school games as there are high schools, but the speed that this ball traveled during Ballard-Trinity is what makes this shot truly exceptional. Just a day separated from Mo Speights delivering a football-like full-court pass, Jake Ramsey did the same thing but even better.

As Ballard was down by two points, Trinity went to the line. They hit one free throw to make it a three-point game but failed to hit the second to put things out of reach. Instead, Ballard’s Ramsey grabbed the offensive board and, without enough time to move up the court or even dribble, he heaved it instead. And it worked!

The long-range shot sent the teams to overtime where Trinity went on to win.
