USC-Oregon delayed by 23-minute power outage

Players can be described as having lights-out shooting when they’re doing exceptionally well but it’s seldom taken literally. At USC-Oregon on Saturday afternoon, the lights literally went out during the game at the Galen Center.

It happened early during the first half of the game as Oregon tried to make a play near the three point line. Instead of just following through with a simple screen, the ballhandler had really no place to go since he couldn’t see at that point.

The fans in attendance wanted to help, so they all took out their phones’ lights to illuminate the pitch-black court until the Galen Center crew opened the curtain.

According to the Galen Center facilities, the power outage lasted roughly 23 minutes. Afterwards, the game resumed without much interference.
