The Nuggets sent Mavericks to overtime with the help of coach Mike Malone’s ‘defense’

The end of Nuggets-Mavericks was a close one, filled with all the dramatic characteristics one would normally expect.

But the game had one more interesting facet: a sixth man. But even that didn’t the traditional mold of what a sixth man typically is. In this case, the Nuggets head coach Michael Malone was playing defense right next to the Mavericks while they attempted to throw the ball inbounds.

The best part is that it worked! Dallas botched the inbounds play, which gave room for the Nuggets to score. It arguably sent this game to overtime!
