There was nobody quite like Shawn Kemp. He dunked with ferocity, violence -- there wasn’t artistry or finesse to how he jammed, he would just spin around you, throw it down and swing on the rim for good measure. It was thunderous and beautiful.
Now he’s walking around in a yellow Sasquatch costume for Spirit Airlines as the “Savesquatch.” Spirit didn’t even have the decency to tell him his beard was full of yellow fuzz from the mask before he took photos with fans.
Shawn Kemp deserves better.
