It’s safe to say there are some ... issues at the ACC Tournament this year. The Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. is the home for the tourney for the first time since 2005 and there are some pretty hefty technical difficulties happening during the Wednesday game between Syracuse and Pitt.

To resolve the issue, the game clock and shot clock have been put on the floor. Which looks super odd, but in reality it’s not wholly uncommon to see this. Several NBA teams had shot clocks on their floors in the past.

There’s plenty of schadenfreude from ACC purists who are upset the tournament left Greensboro, but the reality is that weird things like this happen.
