The Rays have a new player ... no wait that’s just a very good dog in the dugout

The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting a bring your dog to the ballpark day this weekend. To celebrate the upcoming promotion, the Rays had one special dog guest at the game on Wednesday.

Among the legions of good dogs, Super Dog Max might be the best good dog. He’s such a good dog that many people question whether he is even a dog. He is, just a very well-trained dog that basically hangs out like a human. He also swings on swingsets and sits on bicycles.

While he isn’t a player on the Rays yet, clearly he should be. He could stand at the plate and take walk after walk. His strike zone would be tiny. Then once he gets on the basepaths, watch out. That’s assuming he can actually run like a dog and doesn’t just stand around like a human all day.

Very good dog.
