Yankees’ Aaron Hicks gunned down a runner at home with the fastest throw ever recorded

Congratulations! You just watched the fastest throw in baseball’s (recorded) history, at 105.5 mph. From MLB.com:
The previous high registered by StatcastTM was 103.1, by the Astros' Carlos Gomez last September. The previous high on a throw from Hicks -- who reached the upper 90s as a standout pitcher in high school -- was 103.07 on Sept. 30.
Good grief. And I’m going to try and throw something into a trash can tomorrow from three feet away and inevitably miss.
