A couple weeks ago, Daisy was a lost and hungry puppy crying in the parking lot of the Savannah Bananas’ stadium. Now, she has a new family and a new job as the Bananas’ “Bat Dog.”
The Savannah Bananas have a new adorable ‘Bat Dog’
Daisy is just a tiny puppy, much too small to actually pick up a bat. So while she may not yet be great at her new job, she is adorable and that’s all that really matters. A team employee found Daisy abandoned in the stadium parking lot and team president Jared Orton and his wife moved quickly to adopt her.
“We aren’t sure how big she’ll get, so it’s hard to say if she’ll be able to pick up a bat or just coach first base,” Orton said via the team website. “But as she grows, she’ll be a fixture at the ballpark.”
For now, she’s spending her days running around the field, greeting fans and being a very good dog.
