UNC baseball players interrupted a teammate’s TV interview with every prank under the sun

The bullpen interview prank isn’t a new invention. South Carolina did it, Mississippi State also participated -- but North Carolina pulled out all the stops on Monday night when pitcher Zac Gallen got the call in a dugout. It started simply enough with the old “bubblegum on the cap” trick, then it escalated.

There were banana phones and cup goggles.

And even a mid-game meal.

The real star here isn’t any of the players, but @KasonDavis19 on Twitter, who first noticed this. Not only did he share UNC’s bullpen with the world, but he was actually watching a 7-0 May baseball game between North Carolina and Notre Dame. Few people sacrifice like that.
