Tottenham players and fans create unforgettable moment for young boy

Marshall Janson’s young life has been more difficult than most of ours. The 8-year-old had to have his hands and legs amputated after contracting meningitis shortly after his first birthday. Physical difficulties didn’t stop him from loving soccer, but it did prevent him from playing it. Not because Marshall wasn’t able, but because he was afraid other kids would tease him.

Tottenham got wind of the brave young boy after video of him showing off his soccer skills while wearing a Spurs kit went viral. Marshall was invited to the grounds, got to meet his heroes and even practice with them. When Tottenham reached halftime against Southampton the players had one more surprise for the young boy, and invited him onto the pitch to help with their drills.

This alone would have been amazing, but the crowd’s reaction took it over the top.

This is what sports are all about. Winning are losing are byproducts of showing us all that anything is possible. Hopefully Marshall now has the confidence to chase his own dreams and play.
